- 8 oz egg noodles

- 2 tbsp butter

- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

- 1 cup beef or chicken broth

- 1 cup heavy cream

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes to make a roux.

3. Gradually pour in the broth, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

4. Once the broth is fully incorporated and the mixture has thickened, slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking continuously.

5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for a few minutes until the gravy is thickened and creamy.

6. Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste.

7. Serve the creamy gravy over the cooked egg noodles.

8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
