Vanilla Cream Rolls 🍦🥐
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 packet instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the flour, softened butter, egg, vanilla extract, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll the dough out into a rectangle and cut into strips. Roll each strip into a spiral shape and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let the rolls cool completely.
In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fill each roll with the whipped cream.
