INGREDIENTS:
Core Ingredients:
- 3–4 fresh guava leaves (washed thoroughly)
- 1 ripe guava fruit (peeled and chopped)
- 1½ cups water (filtered)
- Juice of ½ lemon (optional for vitamin C boost)
- 1 tsp honey (optional for sweetness)
Optional Add-ins:
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (anti-inflammatory and warming)
- 1 tbsp aloe vera gel (for gut and skin support)
- Pinch of turmeric (antioxidant boost)
- 1 tsp chia seeds (for hydration and omega-3s)
- 2 mint leaves (cooling and refreshing)
INSTRUCTION:
Step 1: Prepare the Guava Leaves
Rinse guava leaves under running water to remove any dust or residue.
Tear them slightly to release their natural oils.
Place in a saucepan with 1½ cups of water.
Step 2: Simmer the Leaves
Bring the water and leaves to a gentle boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes until the water turns light green and aromatic.
Turn off the heat and let it steep for 5 more minutes.
Step 3: Blend the Fruit
While the leaves are steeping, peel and chop the guava fruit.
Add to a blender with lemon juice and honey (if using).
Strain the guava leaf tea and pour into the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Step 4: Strain and Serve
For a smoother texture, strain the blended tonic through a fine sieve.
Serve warm or chilled.
Garnish with mint or a slice of lemon if desired.
