20-Minute Homemade Bread

 



There's nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread! Try this 20-Minute Homemade Bread recipe for a quick and satisfying treat! 

Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon sugar

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup milk

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3. Add the milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute until it is smooth.

5. Shape the dough into a round loaf or divide it into smaller rolls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
