Ingredients
4 thick slices of bread (Brioche, Challah, or Texas toast)
3 large eggs
3/4 cup whole milk or half-and-half
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
A pinch of salt
Instructions
In a wide shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
Place one slice of bread into the custard mixture.
Soak for 30–45 seconds per side.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Place soaked bread into the hot pan.
Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Repeat with remaining slices, adding butter as needed.
Serve immediately while warm.
