Ingredients
Banana Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan or a 9-inch round cake pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter & Sugar
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Wet Ingredients
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Mix in vanilla and mashed bananas.
Stir in sour cream until smooth.
Combine
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix just until combined.
Fold in chopped pecans.
Bake
Pour batter into prepared pan.
