INGREDIENTS:
- 3 tablespoons activated charcoal powder
- 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ cup plain yogurt or conditioner base
- 5–6 drops essential oil (optional, such as lavender or rosemary for fragrance and scalp benefits)
INSTRUCTION:
- Prepare the base: In a clean bowl, combine yogurt or conditioner with aloe vera gel. Mix until smooth.
- Add charcoal: Slowly stir in activated charcoal powder, blending thoroughly to avoid clumps.
- Incorporate oils: Add melted coconut oil, olive oil, and honey. Mix until the mask has a creamy, spreadable consistency.
- Optional fragrance: Add a few drops of essential oil for a pleasant scent and additional scalp benefits.
- Application:
- Dampen hair slightly before applying.
- Section hair and apply the mask evenly from roots to ends, massaging gently into the scalp.
- Ensure full coverage for best results.
- Processing time: Leave the mask on for 30–45 minutes. Cover hair with a shower cap to prevent mess and allow deeper penetration.
- Rinse thoroughly: Wash out with lukewarm water, followed by a gentle shampoo and conditioner.
- Dry and style: Allow hair to air dry or style as usual.
SERVINGS:
This recipe makes enough for one full application on medium-length hair. For longer or thicker hair, double the quantities.
