Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the garlic butter:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the yeast is activated and foamy.
2. Add the melted butter, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Gradually add the remaining flour, kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal portions.
6. Roll each portion into a long rope, about 10-12 inches in length.
7. Twist each rope into a spiral and place them on a greased baking sheet, spacing them apart.
8. Cover the rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
10. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley (if using), and salt.
11. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the risen rolls.
12. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
13. Serve the garlic butter twist rolls warm and enjoy!
These rolls are perfect for serving alongside a meal or as a delicious snack on their own. Enjoy!
