Cinnamon Apple Crisp

 


Ingredients:

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
4 cups sliced apples (use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup water

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until smooth.
3. Gradually mix in the flour until the mixture is crumbly.
4. In a baking dish, layer the sliced apples and sprinkle them evenly with ground cinnamon.
5. Pour the water over the apples to keep them moist during baking.
6. Evenly sprinkle the butter and flour mixture over the apples.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the topping is golden brown.
