Trisha Yearwood’s Butterscotch Bars

 


Omg these are so addictive

Ingredients:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 cups packed brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup butterscotch chips
– 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until smooth.
4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, stirring just until incorporated.
6. Fold in butterscotch chips and nuts, if using.
7. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 25–30 minutes
Servings: 16 bars
