- 2 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

- 1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled

- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

- 1 egg, beaten

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Cooking oil spray


1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray it lightly with cooking oil.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, crumbled breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

3. Using your hands or a spoon, shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls or patties. Press firmly to compact the mixture.

4. Place the hashbrown sausage bites onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow for even cooking.

5. Lightly spray the tops of the bites with cooking oil.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking for even crispness.

7. Once cooked, remove the hashbrown sausage bites from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

8. Serve the crispy hashbrown sausage bites warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or Sriracha mayo.
