Cheesy Beef and Tortilla Chip Dip Recipe

 


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Optional: chopped green onions or jalapeños for garnish
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

INSTRUCTION:

  1. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add aromatics: Stir in onion and garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant.
  3. Season the mixture: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the beef.
  4. Add tomatoes: Pour in diced tomatoes with green chilies. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Incorporate cream cheese: Add cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Add shredded cheeses: Stir in cheddar and mozzarella until fully melted and creamy.
  7. Finish with sour cream: Mix in sour cream for added richness and tang.
  8. Transfer to baking dish: Pour mixture into an oven-safe dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Serve hot: Garnish with green onions or jalapeños. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
